Lindsey is a Mental Health Therapist who received her MS from Monmouth University, NJ. During her time at Monmouth University, she served on the graduate school committee in an effort to serve the larger academic community. She achieved honors during her graduate time and is a member of the CHI SIGMA IOTA Honor Society.
Lindsey specializes in trauma/life transition, mood disorders and behavioral issues. She pull from various forms of therapy including CBT, DBT, EMDR, Brainspotting and Compassion Focused Therapy.
Lindsey has extensive training in DBT and trauma and prides herself on her knowledge base. She believes in staying current, while providing exceptional quality care. Lindsey employees Evidenced Based Practices and is a Certified Brainspotter. Lindsey is a member of the National Board For Certified Counselors and has also provided training on Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
Lindsay received her MS in Mental Health Counseling from Monmouth University in 2013 and has been working in the counseling field since. Lindsay enjoys working with a wide range of ages, including adolescents through older adult populations. Lindsay specializes in Anxiety, Trauma/Life Transition and Mood Disorders. Managing family dynamics and improving communication and conflict are areas of specialization.
Lindsay believes learning effective communication and coping skills can enhance a client’s interpersonal relationships, improving many facets of their life. Lindsay utilizes a Cognitive Behavioral approach to guide her clients through their therapy journey and uses tools like journaling and role play to encourage clients to reframe negative thoughts. Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Brainspotting are other therapeutic strategies that are utilized to enhance one's healing journey. Lindsay is certified in DBT and is working on her Brainspotting certification to assist in continued emotional healing for her patients.
Lindsay encourages her clients to use mindfulness as a daily tool and enjoys providing clients with new or healthier coping and problem solving skills. Lindsay employs an empathic, client centered approach but is able to challenge her clients to make positive and healthy steps. In her spare time, Lindsay enjoys spending time with her family, friends and animals, including cats, dogs and a horse.
Marina is a seasoned professional dedicated to fostering holistic well-being for individuals, couples, and families. With over 13 years of experience in counseling, social, emotional development, and crisis intervention, Marina is a trusted ally in the pursuit of personal growth and empowerment.
As a licensed Marriage and Family therapist (LAMFT), Marina specializes in social emotional learning and cognitive behavioral strategies, emphasizing holistic support and development. Marina holds an Advanced Certification and a Master’s Degree in educational counseling, with ongoing pursuits of a PhD, reflecting her commitment to the counseling field. She prioritizes staying updated in the field of counseling and is an active member of the American Counseling Association. Marina’s therapeutic approach incorporates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness techniques, and Compassion Focused Therapy. Her diverse skill set and compassionate advocacy for personal growth make her an invaluable asset in facilitating positive change and well-being.
Marina is presently working towards her Brainspotting Certification to support patients in regulating their nervous system.
